This very original body of work contains 59 images in total and is the result of 9 years of work in 8 Latin American countries. It is a photographic essay founded on Richard Leonardi's firm belief in the inherent equality of mankind; that we are all bound by a common spirit, a collective sea of dreams. Dreams in Reality is a journey of this spirit through the labyrinth of life, one that is infinitely complex, yet singular. As Jorge Luis Borges wrote, "It only takes two facing mirrors to construct a labyrinth". According to Leonardi, "the images in this collection are all mirrors and the facing mirror is you."

This portfolio of 10 select archival gelatin silver photographs from Dreams in Reality is a one and only edition, printed in Malibu, California by Richard Leonardi in 1999. For their protection, each image is mounted on 100% cotton, acid-free 16" x 19" rag board. The complete portfolio of 10 exhibition quality gelatin silver prints is offered at US$3,500.00.
